On November 14th, the dAIbetes consortium hosted the workshop "Advancing Healthcare with AI" in Lisbon, bringing together researchers, clinicians and experts from several Horizon Europe projects to discuss the future of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
The workshop provided a platform for sharing experiences on the development of trustworthy AI solutions, digital twins and federated learning approaches for personalised medicine. Participants explored common challenges related to data sharing, interoperability, ethics, regulatory requirements and the implementation of AI technologies in clinical practice.
As part of the programme, representatives from the AI4LUNGS project hosted a dedicated panel session presenting their work on digital twins for lung diseases. The discussions highlighted the importance of collaboration between European research initiatives and demonstrated how knowledge exchange across projects can accelerate innovation while promoting responsible and patient-centred AI solutions.
The workshop also offered valuable networking opportunities, strengthening existing collaborations and fostering new synergies between projects working towards the common goal of advancing personalised healthcare through artificial intelligence. By bringing together experts from complementary disciplines, the event reinforced dAIbetes' commitment to building an open and collaborative European AI ecosystem.
